Needed Windows 7 for my father...

 

Yeah, a comp product from ASUS. ASUS has generally made me a happy camper.

- Works for what I needed it to do. I needed a simple pre built PC I would not need to babysit and that had windows 7... a must because my father just can't get windows 8... I did not want to spend the effort to jump over that hurdle... His old PC was...

- Well, not a con for what my dad uses his PC for... just web surfing... but a Core I5... paired with 4GB ram?!? I can see an I3... but really?!? And 500 GB HDD - again, for my dad it is fine... but why even bother? At least put in 2 sticks of...

really nice

 

Worth it but price went up.

Amazing ram. Very amazing. Quiet cpu fan. Ability to play games and stream full length movies like it's nothing.

Processor. The 3.0 really limits the ram. You can multitask like no other, as long as it's all really light.

meh processor

 

very nice computer. very worth.

I enjoy the ability to multi task while on this beast. it's a very nice computer and looks nice on the outside as well. Very fan friendly design and the hidden disk drive is lovely too.

Processor is weak. it's a dual core 3.0ghz processor. it can handle a good work load but nothing spectacular.

Great computer

 

It would be great for Newegg to offer computers with and without an operating system.

Excellent computer to modify. I added more RAM, another SSD and Linux Mint. Now it boots so much faster than it did with just M$ Windblows 8

Too bad I had to pay the M$ tax to get this great computer

Great computer except...

 

fast processor,adequate RAM, plenty of room for expansion. Runs Linux Mint just fine on a SSD

Windows Home Premium OS! (Workaround in review)

 

It's a low end machine, but that doesn't excuse ASUS for loading the wrong OS, providing poor customer support, and trying to SELL me a recovery disk.

You get what you pay for, so don't complain that it isn't a great machine. This is a basic computer for low end use. It's good enough for your office desk worker or someone that uses a computer for light surfing and emails

As stated in other reviews I got two machines that were sold, boxed and tagged on the case as 7 Pro, and have Home Premium installed ; Called Newegg, sat on hold, got routed to ASUS support, sat on hold, talked to someone in Europe, and basically got...

Not Compatible with Wii U Control Pad

Windows 7...Home Premium?!

 

The license sticker had a 7 Pro product key, but 7 Home Premium is what was loaded. We purchased 4 systems and so far 2 of 4 have it on there, I haven't checked the others yet. It's not a bit deal to me as I was probably just going to wipe them...

Good system for the price, comes with a 7 pro license

Be patience

 

It has a loaded brand of Virus check that does not make the machine seem like it is fast at all. When you first start it, it automatically connects to internet and starts all the Wins updates and this brand of virus updates so it bogs it down. I loaded...

The size of the box is nice, its quiet. The looks are nice. It runs well and seems fast running on Wins 7 Pro with 4gb Ram. Wins experience rating comes out to 4.9. Its simple to install and start-up and I like the Asus software features of monitoring...

This Desktop should come with a Motherboard manual and more details on the computer. I cannot even tell how to add or what type of DDR3 memory to add. I also think it could use a case fan. I have not had temp issue its still cold here in the Northeast....
