Ice maker woes

 

I like most aspects of this fridge-freezer combo. The tempered glass shelves so you can put small or strangely shaped containers in it without falling over on the old wire-style shelves are great and the ice maker was great until it decided to go...

Looks good, works well (with only one major drama), reasonably well laid out interior.

Ice maker. Clean it all out and it works for a day. The chute seems to clag up a bit and pushing the ice button causes the motor to try to push the whole thing out from inside - very unsettling!

Quiet, effective, stylish, excellent interior lighting, 'door still open' alarm, tall water dispenser.

Messy crushed ice dispenser, cubed ice gets blocked in shute, small freezer door pockets, expensive and ineffective water filter.

Terrible

 

My first encounter with my new LG fridge was a disaster. Upon delivery it was dinted on the fridge door. Ice maker did not work. Over a 3 month period of waiting for LG customer service to either exchange or refund this lemon, the door indicator alarm...

poor quality control, did not perform as advertised, overated, bad customer service/support.

There are only two of us and there is not quite enough fridge or freezer space. A cover has to be removed every time you dispense ice. If you forget as I often do, you end up with a pile on your floor.
