Very lightweight. Good picture if used in good sunlight. Easy to use. Sits comfortably in your hand.

Picture quality is only good if used in good sunlight. Low sunlight causes the picture to be grainy. The picture does not rotate with the camera. You have to keep the camera absolutely still whilst filming. I also bought an hdmi lead to plug the camera...

Samsung SMX-K40

 

Size and weight very good. Menu easy to navigate. Looks good. Uses reasonably cheap sd cards. Long recording time 16gb card, standard definition footage easily transfered to DVDs.

Poor picture quality, even when connected to a HDMI lead to a HD tv, picture worse than a 10 year old sony mini DV camcorder. Cannot keep up with fast or even slightly moving objects, lots of blurred images. Would class it as cheap and cheerful.

BAD news

 

This camera is bad news. its choppy and it just looks realy bad I had it for one day and I went all over and it was a sunny day. and even out side on a sunny day it wasn't good.

very light, fairly good battery life,low light recording fgood though there is some graining.easy menu with animated thumbnails of recordings.good value for money.

upscaling playback through hdmi lead dissapointing no better than standard av cable. no hdmi cable supplied.
