No accessory shoe or microphone input; bottom-loading tape compartment; grainy, low-resolution still photos; not enough stabilization at maximum zoom; poor low-light performance.

Stick with well-lit environments and you're sure to like the Canon ZR600, a low-priced, feature-rich camcorder.

The camera is an affordable way into digital video, no question about that. Its small, light, and cheap. If you are new to DV, buy it

NO ANALOG VIDEO INPUTS ; despite what Newegg's product listing says, this camera does not record any ANALOG video (ie. from a VCR, TV, analog camcorder, 8mm camcorder, etc..) It will only record video inputs via the firewire. The canon ZR700 records...

This camcorder was advertised as having the ability to dub audio in after recording, but it is not able to. I found out the hard way - I bought the piece of garbage. Canon refuses to own up to the mistake and I am out $6.36 shipping plus 10% restocking...

It came in a box that I was able to return it in as well

This is my 3rd camcorder since early 1990's, a JVC, and a Sharp, and this Canon.

good quality camcorder. and price is good

improve on the camera funcation, and mpeg format
