It toasted the first few pieces of toast poorly. Dark one side and barely toasted on the other. After a few runs through though it seems much more consistent. The girlfriend likes the neat factor, so that's good. All and all an okay toaster for the price.

KitchenAid never disappoints! This toaster is wonderful - makes my toast and bagels perfectly.
