Acer Switch 7 Black Edition: A game-ready tablet that keeps its cool

 

The fanless Acer Switch 7 Black Edition packs in Nvidia graphics, liquid cooling and a smart kickstand.

Costs less than a similarly configured Surface Pro, and includes liquid cooling, an Nvidia GPU and a "smart" kickstand. Keyboard cover and stylus are included in the price.

The fanless system gets hot when using the GPU for games. It's much heavier than other detachable PCs.

The Acer Switch 7 Black Edition packs a lot inside a fanless slim tablet frame, including liquid cooling and a GPU, but most importantly, doesn't charge extra for a keyboard and stylus.

Acer Switch 7 Black Edition

 

The Switch 7 Black Edition looks to be a thoughtfully designed, powerfully equipped detachable tablet that can give Microsoft's Surface a run for its money.

Sleek body and sharp display. Fanless design with discrete graphics. Clever kickstand. Included stylus. Comfortable detachable keyboard. In-glass finger sensor.

High starting price point. Build doesn't feel quite as premium as the Surface Pro.

We'll put the Switch 7 Black Edition through its paces in our labs once it's available for testing, which will allow us to get a better idea of its battery life (Acer predicts up to 10 hours) and its 3D capability, but it's a very promising first look.

Acer denkt mit dem Switch 7 Black Edition das 2-in-1-System konsequent zu Ende. Die derzeit verbaute, eher schwächere GeForce MX150 könnte schon bald durch eine stärkere GPU ersetzt werden und aus dem Hybrid wird ein waschechtes Performance-Monster....

Ohne Lüfter; Nvidia-GPU; Intel Core i-CPU der 8. Generation

Tastatur liegt nicht eben auf Tisch; spiegelnder Touchscreen

Met de krachtige Acer Switch 7 tablet heeft Acer goede bedoelingen, maar als het bedrijf ons iets leert dan is het dat we mogelijk nog niet klaar zijn om high-end hardware in een compact tabletformaat te proppen.
