Brilliant iron, plenty of steam and ironing is easy but the process of descaling is tedious and tiring. It drops a lot of scale flakes onto clothes.

Iron gave a reasonable performance for 9 months then packed up the night before our holiday (talk about bad timing). Can't find the receipt so I guess I'll be purchasing a new iron - just not a Philips one!

This is a really pleasant iron to use once you get familiar with the slightly fussy settings. There's plenty of steam although it can get a bit manic at times! The narrow tapered nose on the sole plate makes it great for doing collars and pointy bits....

Agree with Craggers, booklet is virtually useless and lets Philips down badly. Come on Philips, you're better than this!
