Infinuvo Hovo 510 review

 

Ah, September of 2013. I remember it like it was only five months ago. There was a pleasant autumnal crispness to the air, the leaves were just starting to turn... and the nascent CNET Appliances team was hard at work testing robot vacuums by...

The Infinuvo Hovo 510 surprised us with its cleaning performance, especially on hard surfaces where it earned some of the highest scores we've seen from any machine we've tested. Priced well below $300, it's an attractive value among pricey competitors.

The Hovo isn't as smart or innovative as some of the competition, and it can't handle pet hair. At all.

If you have hardwood floors (and no pets), you'll likely be more than happy with just how well the Hovo performs. Just don't expect Roomba-level design or smarts.

Handy little cleaner

 

I would definitely recommend this for people with hardwood floors.

Excellent vacuum/suction power and given it is 1/3 the price of the best competitor, it is very inexpensive. The vacuum leaves area it has cleaned shiny. The Charge (robot finds home charging base) does work, though it can take a little while.

The robot tends to get lost and seems to favor some parts of the room more than others. It is also killing oriental rug (constant sensing that it is dirty, even though rug is vacuumed separately). It also tends to get trapped under areas just tall...

High performance cleaning & vacuum

 

Hovo 510 is new model but it performs well on cleaning and vacuuming. Remote control is easy to use and set up schedule cleaning time. I also use remote control to do spot cleaning on large floor area. Large dust bin capacity and comb teeth make...

Although, mopping pad is an extra bonus feature comparing to other robotic vacuum unit, but the size is small. It will be nice to have large size mopping pad to mop floor effectively
