Lenovo Legion Go Review

Gaming handhelds became more prevalent in 2023 and show no sign of slowing down. The Lenovo Legion Go is a unique proposition though.

Big, immersive screen ; Detachable controller fun ; Decent in-game performance

Irritating to navigate Windows and Legion Space ; Basic battery life ; Clunky detaching mechanism

The Lenovo Legion Go is both enjoyable and frustrating to use in equal measure. The performance is largely comparable with the Asus ROG Ally, but it fails to truly take advantage of its QHD panel. The big display is inviting and the detachable...

Lenovo Legion Go review: portable PC takes the right ideas from Nintendo Switch

The Legion Go's innovative features help it stand out, even if it's not the most practical portable PC out there.

Strong build quality Top-of-the-line display Tabletop mode is great Matches ROG Ally in power

Aspirational features are impractical Awkward button placements Legion Space needs work

“The Legion Go is a creative portable PC that delivers innovative features, though they aren't always the most practical ideas.”

Lenovo Legion Go review: power play

With a gorgeous 8.8in screen and super-power CPU, Lenovo's new handheld offers top-tier gaming on the go

High-refresh rate screen and powerful CPU ; Windows 11 makes it more flexible ; Gorgeous-looking design

Average battery life ; Some game streaming issues ; Controllers feel plasticky, mapping is inflexible

While you won’t necessarily be playing Alan Wake 2 at Ultra settings, the Lenovo Legion Go is a portable gaming powerhouse that can make many recent games shine. And despite the odd niggle with controls and software, its innovative...

Lenovo Legion Go review: this is the true Steam Deck rival

The Lenovo Legion Go is a performance powerhouse

Excellent performance ; Beautiful display ; Great audio quality ; Completely customizable ; Built-in kickstand ; Fully optimized OS

On the heavier and bulkier side ; Some stuttering and freezing ; Legion Space is terrible

The Lenovo Legion Go is a PC handheld meant for PC gamers, with excellent specs that beget great performance, a beautiful display, highly customizable buttons and controllers, crystal clear audio quality, and more. It would be perfect if it could fully...

Lenovo Legion Go review: This is how I like to game

If you ignore the Windows aspect of it, the Legion Go is a great handheld that just requires some tweaking

Excellent display ; Great ergonomics ; Excellent detachable controllers ; Solid Windows experience, despite Windows itself ; Fun, fantastic gaming experience ; Great to watch content on

The battery life falls a little short

Excellent ergonomics, especially for folks with large hands, sturdy build, awesome display, and more than solid gameplay, have made the Legion Go nearly impossible to put down.

Lenovo Legion Go Review: The Swiss Army Knife Of Handheld Gaming PCs - SlashGear

The Lenovo Legion Go will draw you in with its sizeable screen and processing power -- but it'll be the device's most unique features that'll make you stay.

Lenovo Legion Go review: PC gaming’s supersized Switch?

New gaming handhelds are becoming a rather regular occurrence - how does the Lenovo Legion Go fare against the Steam Deck?

Beautiful 8.8in display ; Innovative FPS mode ; More powerful than Steam Deck, works with most game launchers

Too big and heavy to be hand-friendly ; Mediocre battery life ; Windows not optimised for handheld, Legion software needs work

This gigantic handheld has a lot going for it, including a stunning display and detachable controllers, but too often Windows and the buggy Legion Space app get in the way of a good time.

Lenovo Legion Go review

The Lenovo Legion Go is handheld gaming PC with an impressive display and smart controls, but it can be quite confusing to use

Impressive performance ; Clear and sharp display ; Versatile

Large and heavy ; Several minor issues with interface and features ; Unimpressive sound

The Lenovo Legion Go has an excellent display, a steady kickstand and feature-rich, versatile controls. However, it has a confusing and cluttered platform. If you can look past that, it’s brilliant for gaming and even more.

Lenovo Legion Go Review: Maybe Just Get a Steam Deck

Lenovo's beefy Windows handheld gaming device has plenty of perks but a lot of rough parts, too.

Large 8.8-inch display ; Windows OS means multiple game stores ; Detachable wireless controllers ; Built-in kickstand

Game support is unpredictable ; Windows OS feels messy and unoptimized ; Loud fan, mediocre battery life ; Heavier than Steam Deck

Lenovo Legion Go review: Tablet-sized display gives this Windows gaming handheld an advantage... with the usual caveats

Our Lenovo Legion Go review looks at a handheld game console with a large 8.8" screen, 1TB of storage, and an AMD processor and GPU that offers PC gaming on the go.

Solid build quality and feel ; Nice large 8.8" display with up to 144Hz and GHD+ resolution ; Detachable controllers w/ kickstand ; Comfortable to use even after extended sessions ; FPS mode turns right controller into a mouse ; microSD cards lot and...

No spot for charging cable in carrying case ; Windows needs to be streamlined for handhelds ; microSD slot only supports up to 2TB cards ; Fan noise can get loud, but that's to be expected ; Screen resolution is overkill ; Only OK battery life ; Like...

If you made it this far, that was quite the lengthy review (thanks for hanging in there!), and for good reason, as there is a lot to digest with the Lenovo Legion Go. As I just mentioned, it’s not perfect out of the gate, but will only get better with...
