Works well

 

This pretty much maxes out my TH-50PHD7 display.

Much better picture than with the S-Video input.

Would be nice to use the HDMI output of my Toshiba HD-XA2, but the TY-42TM6D didn't work.

Did not work with a series 7 plasma

 

Presumably this works with some Panasonic plasma screens. However, it did not work with my TH-50PHD7. It did not even show up as an input. Fortunately, the component video board, TY-42TM6Z, works very nicely.

Probably useful with some screens.

Not useful with mine.

Panasonic TY-42TM6D DVI-HDCP Digital Terminal Board

 

Does what is says. Lets you run DVI and more importantly HDMI w/ HDCP on the plasma. I currently run my hidef Tivo through it at 720p and it works great.

Can't change aspect w/ TV. Just the app such as Tivo or computer. May be a DVI limitation.

Nice!

 

Noticable Differece over VGA. I did side by side pip with VGA vs DVI and theres a HUGE difference. Brighter colors, less fuzzy, brighter etc.... Stock cable seems fine.

None So far.
