If you are a CRT fan... Get this!!!!

 

It worked beautifully for three years, under very heavy use, then the electronics started failing, and that was it. That was around two years ago. If you are a CRT fan - get this!!!! *Make sure your video supports the higher refresh rates at higher res*

It's a shame CRT's are dead as flat screens are just not as versitile.

CRT NEW not a refurb

This is not a flat screen and comes with the setup all messed up as far as color geometry etc. An hour of playing with it got me a quite nice picture.

Big, customizable, vibrant colors, really good refresh rates compared to other crt's still in production

desk creaked like an old rope bridge when i sat this thing on there. it weighs as much as a fat little kid. power hungry, and will ruin your eyes over time.

Great monitor!

 

I had considered getting an LCD that was specced to handle gaming graphics, but there were way too many reviews on them that were bad. So decided to go with the NEC CRT. I am not disappointed.

My other system has a SOny Trinitron 21" monitor that is over five years old. After hooking up this NEC, I could tell that my Sony is on its way out. I bought this monitor for my new system to play games on, specifically World of Warcraft, Age of Conan...

Comming back to CRT's

 

After talking to people that use hi-def displays at hospitals and seeing that NONE of them prefer LCD's, I reccommend that you buy this!

CRT's last for years. I have owned many. My Television is 17 years old and still has a great picture. I thought I would buy the best and newest so I bought a Veiwsonic VX922 for nearly 500 bucks! 18 months later the backlit mercury vapor lamp is going...

Higher power consumption. A bit larger footprint than my 19" LCD but....not all that bad. I am willing to forgo the higher energy bill for a much better display
