MSI's 34-inch ultrawide Optix MPG341CQR combines solid gaming performance with a raft of exclusive features, adding up to an ultra-quick curved panel that excels across nearly every metric that matters to gamers.

Innovative design and wide gamer feature set. Decent color results. Very low input lag. Aggressively priced for its class.

Overall HDR and movie quality is so-so. Contrast ratio tested lower than advertised. Built-in webcam is nifty but works only for facial recognition feature.

Bottom Line: MSI's 34-inch ultrawide Optix MPG341CQR combines solid gaming performance with a raft of exclusive features, adding up to an ultra-quick curved panel that excels across nearly every metric that matters to gamers.

MSI Optix MPG341CQR 34in 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor Review

 

Curved screens make the most sense when they are wide and stretch beyond your peripheral vision. But A 34in curved superwidescreen @ 3,440 x 1,440, with 144Hz and FreeSync 2 adaptive sync.

Good colour accuracy, which becomes almost excellent when calibrated.

Disappointing brightness uniformity.

The MSI Optix MPG341CQR makes the 3,440 x 1,440 superwide resolution a seriously viable option for gamers, although you do pay for the pleasure.
