Good Monitor

 

This monitor has absolutely vibrant colors and extremely sharp text.

The only problem I have with this monitor is it's glossy finish which makes glaring a much bigger problem than on my other LCD monitor.

NEC 70GX2-BK

 

Ordered from NewEgg on Saturday and recv'd by Thursday on the east coast.

None that I could tell, perhaps the color is not perfect but it could be from my older video card and not having fine tuned it for my likeing.

Bottom line, this is an excellent monitor, mine had no dead pixels (a big concern of mine), 4 ms response good for games, and bright and clear display. You won't regret this purchase (unless you want to get the bigger one).

I did not purchase this monitor at Newegg, I got it at a local store for more money than advertised here. That said ; I'd pay it again. This was my first venture into the LCD monitor craze. I was getting by just fine with my old 17" CRT, but I upgraded...

I did not purchase this monitor at Newegg, I got it at a local store for more money than advertised here.

It is not clear what the "DV MODE" is to be used for. That is, why would the settings change between movies and pictures?

Good setup instructions for windows

Setup instructions only for Windows. I was not aware that this product was designed specifically for that OS. Setup for Linux OS was more difficult. Also, even though the resolution is 1280x1024 the characters on the screen looked blurred
