Epson Perfection V37 Scanner

 

I'm running OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion). The software works perfect. I had to download and install the TWAIN plug-in from Adobe for it to run in Photoshop CS4 (what I have), but that was painless and took about a minute (I found a guide and an official...

Works perfectly fine so far!

The packaging was absolutely trashed! Gave me a heart attack. The actual scanner was perfectly fine though, and functions just perfectly as well. The installer tries to install a bunch of software, just select custom so you can pick and choose.

Kinda works with 8.1

 

I don't know what the message is here but the majority of the market seems to have moved to combined scanner-printers. My old Canoscan was great but the move from XP to Win 8.1 has turned it into junk. Never mind driver downloads the companies aren't...

I've been having a lot of difficulty getting a flat bed scanner that works with 8.1. I guess not too many flat beds are sold and they are a low priority, I tried several brands including Canon and Xerox. With this computer and software from the epson...

BUT I still can't get it to work as a simple copier. My old flat beds used to do this easily. Also, no luck using it with scanner utility in windows 8.1.

Despite NewEgg's description, this is an LED scanner, not CCD. Whether that's an advantage or a disadvantage depends on your needs and point of view.

Good color reproduction; lid opens 180 degrees; fairly fast; good quality low-end product

Low-end product; software not intimately coordinated

Decent Little Scanner

 

Scanner works like a charm - included software is pretty basic. You will need to find other software for anything other than basic scanning NewEgg shipping in original cartons is not ideal - the scanner arrived in the original box via UPS with 3 large...

EPSON V37

 

Scanner is working so far. Software included seems a bit too much but is working fine.

Newegg didn't even put product in a box, just slapped shipping label on manufacturer box. I am totally disgusted with Newegg handling. Not the first time I have had poor shipping from Newegg. Starting to wonder if it is worth the savings.
