DCT SimpleScan SP

 

The SimpleScan SP is designed to let you scan directly to the cloud.

Scans to multiple websites (Evernote, Google Drive, and more) through the SimpleScan Connect site. Twain and WIA drivers.

Depends entirely on websites to process scanned documents, and primarily on them to store the documents.

If you want a scanner that lets you scan without connecting to the Web, and also comes with software to let you process and manage the scanned files on your own system, the SimpleScan SP clearly isn't in the running. But if you're entirely comfortable...

DCT SimpleScan SP

 

SimpleScan SP is less a traditional scanner than an extension of the SimpleScan Connect website, which can send documents to a selection of other sites.

Although the SimpleScan SP will let you scan from any software that can call on its WIA or Twain driver, it doesn’t come with any programs that can do that. As shipped, nearly the only way to scan is with the website’s Capture option. The one...
