The only pro is it found every channel

Good legacy brand.Nice designed box.

Does not work as advertised. Faulty remote with most functions NOT working,,freezes constantly, cannot enter setup or any other menu.Cannot scan for new TV channels . A real dud

no power cord in the box and it was brought for a birthday present hows that very disapionted with the service I dont think that I would buy another awa product again........ usless

Thought I'd share on how to fix the EPG on the AWA-STB262.

I found that it was fairly easy to set up and found all the stations

The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) causes the unit to lock up on most occasions ... the software is supposed to be upgradeable but have not been able to find a site for it ... typical of this sort of equipment, no real support.

Works really good, once you work it out. Service is helpful. Need to go on the Internet, [url censored] and find local contact contact.

For people not used to the technoligy it can be a bit troublesome. Need to realise there other issues with Digital, like signal drop out that has nothing to do with the set top box

didn't work. Only got SBS or ABC stations. Unable to do manual channel scan.

Easy to use, scans and picks ups TV signal well even for a 70's roof aerial :) Working on AV1 channel and using RWY/RCA plugs for composite video. The STB unit even comes with optical and HDMI ports.

Poor User Manual if you aren't too techy. Locks up when using On-screen program guide, requires you to switch to standby then back ON to unlock.

Seems to do what it is supposed to, cheap, looks OK and looks good !!! HOWEVER see cons

Extremely poor user manual. Unable to do a manual station scan, unable to delete unwanted channels. Service person at AWA Telefix had no idea how to fix the problem telling me to do a manual scan yet the unit won't let you do a manual scan. AWA Telefix...

Easy to use. Found 22 TV channels + 4 audio. Very good analog output, now getting excellent picture on all channels on old TV.

Sometimes locks up when using On-screen program guide. Need to switch to standby then back on to unlock. Seems to get confused when getting schedule from TV station. Had similar problem with a set top box in the UK.
