Great but don't hook up the broadband

Has a filter along with the surge protection/battery back up. Should protect that delicate equipment. If your voltage is constantly unstable like in my neighborhood, this would be well recommended purchase

Does not last long at all on battery power. 250 watts or so will only last like 8 min? Don't believe what they tell you on the specs. I have this exact one as does my friend. I mean if all ur getting it for is just to give you enough time to shut down...

Going to buy the exact same one.

I have had one of these for a while now. It did what it was supposed to do. I just had a power surge about 45 min ago, and the APC thing isn't fine, but the computer that I am writing this review on is

Worth it...

 

Think about what you spend on the complete buid of a PC. Now look at that price. Dude, using a power tap won't do ANYTHING! Line conditioning alone warrants this price, the backup power is just another plus in my book. And no, I currently do NOT hold...

Cost, reputation, power conditioning = longer component life

works for me

 

Remember to buy some outlet extenders so that you can fit more bricks (ac/dc converters, the big fat black things at the end of cords) on the UPS.

Works great for me under Linux (Google for "apcupsd"). Perfect for my server. USB is the best feature on this inexpensive UPS

It was hard to connect the battery. The negative cable isn't long enough, but it does just barely reach the negative terminal
