Works fine so far!

 

We installed a Maytag MDB6600 tall tub dishwasher just over a year ago, and it has been working just fine. We haven't noticed any grease under the door or any other problems. We've only owned two previous dishwashers, a low end portable and the one...

Cleans well, relatively quiet, fold down racks for glasses.

Tall tub a mixed blessing, some dishes don't fit well.

first of all i would like to state some of the cons of the current dishwasher which now currently i have. - The dishwasher was not as quiet as I had hoped, but I have an explanation for this. Our lower cupboards have an opening near the dishwasher ...

Large capacity. Versatile loading. Flexible silverware trays. Simple touch controls.

I would recommend this dishwasher.

DoorHandle Broken at 13 Months

 

Loading flexibility for large pans/cookie sheets. Upper rack has shelf for knives/spatulas.

Flimsy doorhandle part (plastic) that breaks after 1 yr. Normal Washcycle is extremely long.

I would not buy this again

 

Maytag, a name I thought I could trust, at least until I bought this piece of junk. We have had so many problems with this unit that for the first time in our lives we purchased and extended warranty because we knew we would get our money out of it. ...

Touch pad is easy to clean, optional delayed cycle

Does not clean including itself. Frequent loud noises when something gets stuck in the pump.

IF YOU WANT CLEAN DISHES, DON'T BUY THIS ONE

 

I bought this dishwasher after having a Maytag dishwasher for years. I would recommend that you buy this if you don't want clean dishes, like scum in the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle, and want your dishes to stay wet after the drying cycle....

The exterior black is a lovely color

Total Boondoggle - One of the worst purchases we made

 

We bought this dishwasher in December of 2004 to replace the 4 year old GE which had quit working. The GE cleaned our dishes well, but we got a good deal on this Maytag (around $360), and buying into the advertising, we purchased it. The trouble ...

Quiet, Controls were easy to use, pretty good loading capacity

Did not clean dishes, always had to handwash 1/2 the load afterwards

Problems with door latch

 

Cleans very well, dishes are spotless.Easy to load, I like the tall tub design.

Kind of loudSub-standard engineering on the door latch.
