Panasonic 42.5mm f/1.2 ASPH POWER OIS LEICA DG NOCTICRON Review

The Panasonic 42.5mm ƒ/1.2 ASPH POWER OIS Leica DG NOCTICRON is a serious lens for serious shooters of the Micro Four Thirds system. It produces outstandingly sharp images -- even wide open -- with extremely low distortion and very well-controlled CA...

Leica Nocticron 42.5mm f1.2

You want light gathering power? You've got it, with an f1.2 aperture that gathers twice as much light as an f1.8 lens, letting you shoot in dimmer conditions without slowing the shutter or bumping-up the IS. You want creamy bokeh? No problem, you'll...

Superb quality. Sharp right into the corners at f1.2. Best yet for M4/3., f1.2 focal ratio delivers very shallow depth of field with nice bokeh., f1.2 focal ratio great in low light: gathers twice as much light as f1.8 lens., Very well-corrected optics...

Most expensive M4/3 prime yet, roughly double the 75mm f1.8., Modest closest focusing distance of 0.5m means it's no macro lens., Cats-eye bokeh for specular highlights at f1.2 and f1.4., Stabilisation only effective for one or two stops in my tests.,...

Test Panasonic 42.5mm Nocticron: Halleluja!

Test Panasonic 42.5mm Nocticron: Halleluja!

Halleluja!

Leica DG Nocticron 42,5 mm f/1,2

to jasne, portretowe szkło do aparatów systemu Mikro Cztery Trzecie. Daje ekwiwalent 85 milimetrów dla małego obrazka. Szkło Panasonika to solidna i wytrzymała konstrukcja.

Panasonic 42.5mm 1.7

What does the Panasonic 42.5 mm f/1.7 portrait lens have to offer? The Panasonic 42.5 mm f/1.2 Noctilux is brighter, has the same focal distance and is, where build and image quality are concerned, perhaps the best micro-43 lens of today. But it is...

Ideal portrait lens ; Nicely light and compact ; Built-in image stabilization ; Attractive price-to-quality ratio

Sensitive to flare ; Without correction, visible distortion in RAW files with 3rd party RAW converters

Panasonic rather unexpectedly released a 30 mm macro lens and this 42.5 mm f/1.7 portrait lens. There was also not much of a fuss made about these lenses, and with that Panasonic has done these lens a disservice. In an earlier review, the Panasonic 30...
