No matter how you look at it ... this is an expensive product.

Solid built with superfast focussing. Very sharp images even at 2.8. VR works well and possible to use hand held at lower shutter speeds, although best used on a tripod/monopod . Works well even with TC-20E III effective 600mm f 5.6.

Touch heavier for long hand held use. At this price one year warranty is a disgrace. Heavy at 2.9 kg The lens cap is cumbersome to use. One Expensive lens!!

quick ,quiet and accurate focusing,great picture quality. good build quality very good lens,shoot mainly wildlife and use this as my carry about lens.

bit pricey,but all lenses of this quality are. would be great if it was slightly lighter but I guess its the wt you get with so much glass..

Crystal sharp pictures, stunning contrast, lightning autofocus, coupled with superb vibration reduction just takes your breath away. i wish I'd taken the plunge and bought one years ago!

There aren't any. It's heavy and expensive, but with all that glass I think that's unavoidable.

Initial price is hard to swallow (but you won't regret), lack of filter for front lens protection (but large hood helps), twist activated VR rather than switch, quite heavy (but compared to zooms it's not really)
