Fairly light weight and nicely balanced. Zoom and focus rings very well damped. Beautiful close ups possible from 1.2m minimum focus distance.

The image stabiliser system sounds like a disaster waiting to happen with 'metallic' grinding noises when in use. It seems that this is 'normal' from this lens.
