Make sure that you are aware it is USB 1.0. If you plan on changing the files on it a lot, get one that is USB 2.0

Small size, plays a varitey of formats (WMA, MP3, and OGG) and easy to use. The built in EQ is pretty good too. The presets are set up fairly well, but you can also customize the EQ settings if you like

Although I do like that it has a rechargeable battery, I don't like the fact that it can only charge via the USB port. I have to leave t he computer running overnight to charge the device. My only other problem is that it doesn't come with a belt clip,...

The battery lasts forever! I use this to play music and podcasts in my car all the time and have never gone below half the battery life. Can use as a flash drive and display text files on screen. Volume and headphones are good. It can hold about 14...

Controls are difficult to learn but fine when you get used to them. Don't loose the book if you don't have the controls memorized! It's easy to accidently hit buttons when it's in your pocket unless you remember to lock the controls

Good sound (not fantastic, but good considering the price, many sound options (can tailor the sound to your preference), price, rechargeable battery and charges quick (I did not want to deal with getting AAA batteries)

USB 1.1 (come on now, its 2006, not 1999), 512MB only option (works for me, but other may need more), White (I think it would look better in black)

USB 1, slow read and write compared to other players, but don't bother me at all. no power on/off button but automatically shuts off when adjust power settings

Compact, folders work great, recording works well, easy to use but lots of extras, sound quality is very good and quite loud. My 10 year old son uses it mostly and has no problems. This player cannot do all that an IXXX can, but it costs less than 1/2...
