Poco X3 GT initial review: Turbo power?

 

Xiaomi offshot, Poco, has released the X3 GT, complete with 6.6-inch 120Hz screen and MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset. Is it a true 'GT' though?

MediaTek processor is plenty powerful ; Long-lasting battery life ; Expected affordable price point

Sometime screen flicker issues ; Software oddities - as typical with MIUI ; Chunky build

Assuming the GT's price is right it's got plenty to shout about: a large 120Hz refresh rate panel, a capable MediaTek processor, and battery life that doesn't let up. However, occasional screen flicker issues have been a drawback during our use.

Good battery life + fast charging ; Great performance ; Dual 5G

No wireless charging ; Unreliable fingerprint scanner ; Average screen quality

If you don’t care about wireless charging or having the best cameras, the X3 GT is a great deal.

The POCO X3 GT is a reasonable addition to the lineup, with a nice set of features that sets it apart from the rest of its POCO X3 brethren.

+ Comes with 67W fast charger in the box! ; + Glittery design is refreshing coming from blander finishes ; + IR blaster is a great convenience ; + Good performance across the board ; + Good 120Hz display ; + Nice stereo audio ; + Main 64MP camera does...

- No headphone jack ; - Gaming performance is somewhat lacking ; - Protruding fingerprint sensor can be an annoyance ; - Mild dimming around the punch hole and lower bezel ; - Macro camera is nigh useless without autofocus

The POCO X3 GT ticks a lot of boxes, making it a rather noteworthy addition to the POCO X3 family.
