Ekspertanmeldelse af : Lynn La (cnet.com)
Rugged, waterproof, and equipped with a convenient portrait keyboard for all your messaging needs, the NEC Terrain is one device that can handle just about anything.
NEC's waterproof and rugged Terrain features 4G LTE, push-to-talk, and an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard.
The Terrain is unattractively heavy, runs the dated Android 4.0 OS, and records poor video.
If you want a rugged AT&T handset, pick NEC's sturdy Terrain, but those in search of a more stylish device should consider the pocket-friendly Samsung Rugby Pro.
Ekspertanmeldelse af : Rob Pegoraro (pcmag.com)
The NEC Terrain smartphone is a throwback to the golden age of BlackBerrys, which isn't entirely a compliment.
Rugged design. Physical keyboard. Fast LTE. Push-to-talk support.
Tiny, low-res screen. Cramped physical keyboard. Poor cameras. Obsolete version of Android.
Conclusions Putting "ruggedized" high on your shopping list constrains your choices dramatically, but you have a few options. On AT&T, we prefer the Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro , with a much larger screen, a newer version of Android and better upgrade...

NEC's latest effort for the U.S. market is the Terrain, a rugged Android smartphone that offers push-to-talk and a full QWERTY keyboard. Here is Phone Scoop's full review.

Incredible how they can charge so much money for this thing. Most apps I tried to download came up as \

I've owned this phone for a year and a half now. The phone is very rugged. This screen maybe small but the text is clear. The keyboard is a little cramped but text fast and even write emails on it. Performance is ok not the best but certainly not the...

I purchased this cell phone, and truly wished I had stayed with an iPhone. The android system really has no advantage over the OS for iPhone...so basically I have a lesson learned...

Android is out of date and you cannot update. Also, the keyboard is horrendous! This phone was so bad it gave me gas pains for 3 days.
Brugeranmeldelse (att.com)
This phone is well built and easy to use. The operating system and the display quality are not the best, but I wanted to have a physical keyboard. There are very few smartphones available with physical keyboards. Overall I am VERY happy with this...
