The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE has a bright 5.7-inch screen, works on LTE networks, and has an impressive rear camera and long-lasting battery life.

The 720p resolution makes for a lower pixel density than you may want. The processor is a little under-specced for power-users, and the plastic casing can't match the premium feel of some phones.

It's no flagship, but the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE offers a solid big-screen experience at a budget price point that's hard to beat.

Microsoft's newest oversized Lumia phone has a great camera and a nice design, but it can't escape the confines of being a budget smartphone.

The best camera you can get at this price. Updated software brings cool features like Glance Screen, Kids Corner, and Apps Corner. Comes with one-year subscription of Office 365 included

At 5.7-inches, the 720p screen is a bit stretched. Daylight readability can be a significant problem. Microsoft has been cleaning up some preinstalled apps, and yet the Lumia 640 XL is still loaded with redundant bloatware
