Sanyo EMS8586V / EMS8586W

Purchased in 2007 for around $80 from Big W. Used hard for 7 years and only just stopped working (Dec '14). For the price I figured I'd get 18 months out of it (which coincidently is longer than the 13 months I got out of the expensive Panasonic...

I purchased this model in August 1996 and it has just stopped working July 2011. Am looking for a replacement and was pleased to see it is still available. Its simple, a good size and has just always worked.

The turntable stopped working which meant food just burnt, I have done some research on how to DIY fix but I think it is the motor which would be more expensive to fix than buying a new one. People who are responsilbe for making such crap products like...

Mine lasted about 18 months. Previous Panasonic lasted about 20 years. Very disappointed as it is not just the fact it doesn't work it is the process of having to research to buy another microwave and then go to the shops and so on.

This unit worked fantastic until the 15 month mark, then all of a sudden it stopped heating. Everything else works except it does not heat.

Unhappy with the short life expectancy and the reluctant service from the store I bought it from and especially the virtually nill service from Sanyo.

I just love this microwave, as I find the large interior is great for bigger bowls, I love the one push button for quick microwave, this looks is another plus, overall this is a great unit and I am so pleased that I purchased this one.

I didnt like this oven as much as the Sharp R-340E that it replaced (after a fairly premature magnetron death at 5 years old). The Sharp included a convenient range of pre-selected heats, whereas this unit has 10 stepped power levels that you must...
