Think of the Slingbox 350 as an updated, less-expensive Slingbox Solo. It's great for watching cable TV channels and recorded content on the go, but there's not much that's new, even four years later.

Gorgeous 1080p video streaming. Simplified setup. Reliable performance. Includes plenty of cables in the box.

No Wi-Fi. Ties up the television to which the Slingbox is connected. SlingPlayer mobile apps all cost extra. Sluggish channel changes.

Have you ever had to endure an endless evening channel-hopping in some overseas hotel room, wishing you could be at home watching your own television?

Cunningly simple, with striking looks, a built-in Freeview tuner, a good selection of connections and cables and priced significantly lower than Sony's take on a similar concept - the Sony LocationFree - the Slingbox is a winner.
