With conical ceramic burrs and an "accidental tweak" proof nut for grind changing, this is the most consistent hand grinder I know of.

I know of no manual coffee grinder of comparable value.

I use this daily to make coffee at work where we can't have electrical appliances and this allows me to avoid the vomitrocious coffee produced by the Flavia system. I brew through a Hario ceramic drip funnel that awesomely fits Chemex filters.

Excellent Grind. Great for power outages when all you have is fire for boiling water

Makes grinding a very laborious process. A little hard to adjust the grind as it involves unscrewing the handle and adjusting teeth to raise and lower the burr

Great budget grinder, with a few drawbacks.

This is an absolutely wonderful budget/travel grinder. It has a good quality grind at many settings, from espresso, to drip (in my experience). However, as the adjustments get coarser, the grind size gets less consistent. This is due largely, I think,...

Fantastic value, the best hand grinder you can buy for the money!

For someone on a budget who cannot afford even the cheapest electric grinder, this is the way to go. Instructions are in Japanese, but assembly and adjustment is intuitive and simple. The adjustment is 'stepped', held firm by a two tined washer that...

Easy to assemble, adjust and use. Consistent grind size at finer adjustments. Compact size, easy to clean

Chards can fly out of the hopper, not consistent at coarser grinds without modification. No adjustment markings for repeatable settings
