Review: Yahama HS 50M

 

Hoewel de matzwarte luidsprekerkast van de HS 50M niet direct in het oog springende designhoogstandjes omvat, is deze Yamaha-monitor toch een opvallende verschijning met zijn wit gekleurde 5-inch mid/laageen- heid.

Goede balans ; Veel en nuttige afstelmogelijkheden ; Eenvoudige integratie subwoofe

Geen RCA-aansluitingen ; Laagbereik iets beperkter

Al bij al is de Yamaha een gebalanceerde desktopoplossing waarmee je alle kanten uit kan, zonder uitgesproken zwakke punten. Helaas valt de adviesprijs wel een stukje hoger uit dan bij de andere sets die we recent in FWD 44 bespraken.

Yamaha HS 50 M - ДВА В ОДНОМ

 

Звучание колонок некрупное и очень светлое. Разрешение на средних и высоких частотах довольно высокое. Особенно понравилась работа пищалки. Но из-за такого вздернутого тонального баланса мониторной подачу колонок вряд ли можно назвать.

График АЧХ показывает неплохую равномерность в средневысокочастотном диапазоне. А также практически полное отсутствие активности в низкочастотной области. Очевидна сателлитная природа этой колонки и явная необходимость поддержки снизу сабвуфером....

very accurate

 

These aren't fun booming bass listening speakers, they are accurate professional reference monitors. So if you want fun bass boosted and high frequency boosted speakers look elsewhere. These are for engineers.

For the price and the size, these are the most accurate monitors you can buy. The 5" driver reproduces sound over the frequency spectrum surprisingly and deceptively well. I produce tracks in NYC and I use these in my home studio to reference mixes...

They aren't 8" woofers. The low to high mids don't crack the way you need them to for snare drum mixing. You definitely need to decide if you do need 8" speakers
