Good picture quality ; Impressive sound when playing back movies ; High-quality iPod dock

MP3 playback via the USB socket is pretty horrible ; Speakers are a pain to assemble

The Panasonic SC-PT870 is a terrific system for everything except playing music via the USB socket. We like the DVD playback and the iPod dock, and, although the speakers don't feel particularly high-quality, they produce a pleasant-enough sound.

The Panasonic SC-PT870 is a good all-round home-cinema system. With excellent picture quality, its performance with movies is great. The sound quality via the iPod dock and cd/dvd is impressive.

The sound quality via the USB is hurrendously bad and the speakers should be wireless as they are a pain to assemble but these are really the only drawbacks.

Its a nice little package for the price

When people are talking its would be nice to have the front speaker louder, it may be me as I'm not sure how to get the center speaker louder, that's if you are able too.

only bad point is not all tower speakers necessary could do with choice of numbers

fantastic product, exactly as other reviews said... very very happy with it on my PS3 and on HDTV!

maybe just one bad point is that Optical Input cannot carry DTS through it, so on some PS3 games I had to put back to 5.1, otherwise great.

I bought this unit as I wanted a good quality home cinema system with tallboy speakers. It's easy to set up and works perfectly. I don't have anything to compare to, as this is our first system, but the sound is great in stereo and dolby surround....

It doesn't pick the radio stations well.
