They straighten with ease, & also curl easily too. I have a pair of very expensive & a well known brand straighteners & they work just as well but were much cheaper.

The only thing I would say would improve them would be if they had a cut off switch if you leave them on, but performance wise, I have thick hair, and I am very happy with them.
