I have quite fine, fairly straight hair so my hair does not take a large amount of straightening. I don't know how good they would work on very thick or curly hair.

Will not straighten your whole hair - only your fringe (as expected though).

Easy to use, heats up very quickly, lightweight. OK for small areas of hair e.g. fringe or just front if pulling rest back in a clip etc. Would be ok for a quick touch up in work, if needed, after straightening with electric tongs first.

Does not get hot enough to straighten full head of hair. Hard to get the gas refills. Feels as if the two parts of the tongs needs to have a tighter grip on the hair to really get it straight. If you want a very straight style and have longish hair,...

its utter rubbish, no grip on my hair, it doesnt get hot enough, you cant hold on to the end to guide it through your your hair because it gets too hot.

Plates don't meet or hold hair, so you have to squeeze them together to actually get any grip in the hair! Burnt my hair rather than straighten it!

the plastic feels very cheap and like it can damage easily. Also it cannot straighten properly since the plates dont meet and doesn't grip properly. it also only heats up on one side. It would also be to much effort to have to keep finding and buying...

The straighteners don't heat up enough and aren't strong enough or powerful enough to straighten hair!
