The KW-NT3HDT's display is a bit low resolution for our tastes. The POI search interface can be clunky and unintuitive. The USB port cover seems unnecessary and can be difficult to remove.

The JVC KW-NT3HDT stands apart from the competition, both with its impressive feature set that includes HD Radio and traffic data and its rare detachable faceplate. Despite a few hardware and software quirks, we think there's a lot to like about this...

"Shotty at best."

 

More Cons: When playing music from my phone via bluetooth, it plays the first two songs, then it stops pulling the song names from the device. The faceplate is poorly made. It bulges out at the bottom and doesn't sit cleanly in the base. You can't...

It makes nice phone calls, and the sound quality is... okay. Usually.

The GPS is ridiculously outdated. There are major highways that were extended in the late 90's that don't show up on the maps. Research shows that new maps purchases only update POI's and not the map database.

jls098 says that you can make changes on the fly; I'm thinking he or she does not have the unit configured to accept alternate routes as the unit clearly offers them if configured to do so.
