Prices on widescreen monitors 20-inches and above have been dropping dramatically. In fact, the cost of monitors below 24-inches, with a native resolution of 1680x1050, are so low that they have become the standard. Sometimes you just want more pixels...

Inexpensive. Great gamma curve

Poor color tracking. Poor response time for fast-action games and movies

The performance and feature set leaves no doubt that this is a budget monitor, but it's suitable for simple desktop apps and office work.

The $400 retail price of SOYO's 24-inch widescreen monitor is among the lowest we've seen for a monitor of this size. Is it a true bargain, or do you simply have to spend more to get quality you can live with?

Inexpensive. Great gamma curve.

Poor color tracking. Poor response time for fast-action games and movies.

Speakers=junk. 1 year warranty. Occasional buzz sound. Junky VGA+DVI cables. Confusing controls. No rotation.

One year warranty. Built in speakers below the LCD. Front power LEDs and switch.

Volume and other controls are on the side. The stand does not tilt or swivel.
