Humax LGB-32DST 32in LCD TV

 

Decent 32in TVs for under £400 aren't exactly common, but if that's your budget, add Humax's LGB-32DST to your shortlist.

It's imperative that we point out here, too, that the 32DST is not a Full HD TV, boasting instead a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. This is only to be expected of such a cheap set, and obviously makes 1080p/24 compatibility less of an issue as...

This mid-range LCD TV is undeniably basic, but it has bags of mass market appeal

Decent value ; 2 HDMIs ; Good overall picture quality

Dodgy digital tuner

Not very versatile, but it makes a superb set for small-scale hi-def viewing

From the same company that recently supplied the 19inch offering for a prize draw, this is a Digital and Analogue offering that has all the possible external connectors you might want and it's HD Ready and widescreen with 16:9 viewing.

Most of the modern breed of Digital TV's are more of less the same to operate. Plug in the mains lead and your aerial and then switch on. If it's new then it should offer you the chance to scan for channels, if not you need to enter the menu and maybe...

Screen seems nice and bright, with lots of options, etc. Very good value compared with more expensive "named" brands

Takes a few moments for the software to load up when turned on (unless I've missed something crucial in the manual...)
