Not bad...But not what I expected either

UPDATE: I'm a little happier with this unit now. Here's why: I tried connecting it into my main tv set-up in my living room. I have an up-convert DVD player and Plasma TV. I connected this recorder to my Digital cable box via S-video cable and ...

Can copy some of your commercially bought VHS movies, or home movies onto DVD.

Copy-write protection. Quality not equivalent to store bought DVD of same movie.
