The Sony DVP-FX810 is a portable DVD player with a large 8-inch adjustable LCD screen--and it's available for less than $200.

The affordable and sleekly designed Sony DVP-FX810 has an 8-inch swivel screen and strong battery life. It also offers dual headphone jacks, an A/V input/output, and MP3/photo CD compatibility.

The screen coating causes a noticeable glare, and the picture quality is merely average.

The Sony DVP-FX810 may not offer a great picture, but its sleek design, above-average battery life, and affordable price make it an attractive value in the portable DVD category.

Decent player, but it has problems

 

All in all, it is a great player. We use it more than it is probably meant to be used. However, I had hoped that it would be trouble free for a couple of years. We just purchased the next model up hoping that these flaws have been fixed.

Glass covered screen - great for kids that like to man-handle everything in front of them. Long battery life - great for long trips with kids that have short attention spans. Large remote - great for old people with bad eye

Sound is weak. Depends on the movie being played. Childrens dvds tend to be loud enough, but adult movies are a little hard to hear. My unit lasted about three months before it started freezing. Now it freezes periodically. Sometimes, as a result of...

Aewsome portable player.

 

Other than the sound on road issues its freakin sweet. easily fixable by headphone or somehow hook up to vehicle.

Protective screeen is great especally if have younger kids around and older people who cant resist touching something. Everything need want in with it is included ; Picture great options etc sound is ok recommend getting headphones etc though

Sound aint too great especally if get road noise on the highway

It is worth the price!!!

 

My wife and I will be going on a trip later this month and needed something for her to do on the airplane. I have owned a few portable players that just never work as well as they promised. I have always trusted Sony's products and have been good buys...

None so far, the batter could have been a bit longer but its alot better the other players that barly run 2 hours
