Doesn't come with HDMI cable. Not really a con at this price.

Cheap and upconverting. Probably the cheapest upconverting DVD player you can find. Very thin

Not impressed

 

Cheap, good upconversion, simple controls

Very slow to open and close the door. Died after 23 months. There was no reason it should not have lasted longer. It wasn't very heavily used

Its a great unit

 

Excellent purchase, highly recommended.

This is an excellent unit. I backup many of my dvd's to divx to watch on the go but it was a pain constantly hooking the laptop up to the hdtv. I tried using Orb to stream on my ps3 and 360 but sometimes it would run a tad bit slow. This plays my divx...

The remote could be a little prettier/more durable

Great DVD player

 

Great player for the price. Not sure if it plays all the "New" stuff these days, but for a regular everyday DVD player, it's great.

Purchased for a 19" LCD TV. HDMI Hookup was straight forward and easy. Great picture. Nice little remote without too many buttons. It's handled all the DVDs I've fed it so far with no problem

The HDMI cable has come out twice with the kids moving it a little. Not sure if it's the HDMI cable I purchased, or the connector

Great player but slow startup

 

Also, it does NOT have a USB port.

Great player and picture quality. For the price, it's awesome

Does not have optical output. Startup is slow, makes new users press the power button multiple times thinking they didn't press it hard enough. Key is to just press it once and wait

Does what I bought it for

 

You are free to set the region code that the player can play, so if you got foreign CD's, a slight modification of the settings will straighten that out.

It has played all the VCD's and DVD's I've thrown at it perfectly

No complaints

Great product for the value

 

I own other Philips DVD players and they have always delivered in price and quality. I recommend this one %100.

This unit will play just about any format you can think of. Looks great when hooked up with HDMI cables

At first I didn't notice the improvement, but when I went back and tried to test my other wireless card again(try to fix it) the difference is huge.

Works perfect and not fault. easy to install and picture quality is great

Great cheap DVD player

 

For the money, I can't think of anything that this player doesn't have that I want. Note that, despite some of the reviews here, this player does NOT have the USB input that some of the other players have. Neither is it "too wide". It's small, thin,...

None so far, except that it might be a bit *too* small - I have to move my keyboard every time I want to put in a DVD

Great DVD Player for the price

 

My 8 year old DVD player quit playing about a dozen of my DVD's and wouldn't play some brand new ones (even with cleaning). I bought this cheap replacement unit and it plays everything and puts out dramatically better color and clarity. Best fifty...

I suppose the limited outputs is an issue for some, but not to me
