Appalling design of Optical drive and cooling system allows/blows dust/dirt into drive leading to premature failure. Really poor panasonic service/support/spares policy and extortionate pricing will not buy another panasonic product.
Works for 6 Months
Over Complivated to use and suffers the same Optical Drive reliability problem as the more expensive DMR-EX75 and 85

Worked great while it lasted. The analog only tuner, will be a problem after the switch to digital antenna signal is complete.
Easily view a list of what's recorded on a disc. Play shows while they're being recorded. Easily label and record shows using memorized lists. Setup is head shoulders over a VCR
Ours lasted somewhere between a year and 18 months. One day, great, next day, "No Read." I took it apart and reasearched it. Looks like I need a new spindle motor. Noone sells this part by itself and the assembly costs more than a new machine

first DMRES15 lasted 9 months before dvd ram reader died. - fixed under warranty - lasted another 2 months died again - fixed again. This time it lasted just long enought to get out of the 12 months warranty before it died again. STUPIDLY I got...
not getting caught again
Panasonic customer support - contacted numerous time - couldn't care less about the poor performance of this product. it's a joke
