Just watched this and I'm blown away. Considering the film is from 1956 the picture and sound are (to paraphrase the title) Amazing! The remastered DVD was great, but the blu-ray is absolutely stunning. Well recommended.

This is a must for the collection, the ultimate classic sci-fi movie, much better than day the earth stood still, a young leslie neilson and the superb robbie the robot, tension, scary bits, drama and no shakey props !!

Forbidden planet is a prime example of a classic scifi movie! It was good on video... It was better on DVD and now it should be brilliant in high definition on Blu-ray! Top quality entertainment.... A Robbie the robot thumbs up!
