This camera feels and sounds like a beast. And it is a beast. It'll produce very good images at a 14.6Mp size, with practically no noise up to ISO 800. However, its Live View feature is worthless.

The tweaks and reworked menus can’t hide the fact that the GX20 is basically the same as the Pentax K20D. But the K20D benefits from the Pentax brand cachet and has a couple of useful features missing here, which leaves the GX20 in a kind of no-man’s-land

A competent and well-specified DSLR supported by Pentax’s massive system of accessories and lenses provides great results and super build and should be high on the list of those wanting an advanced comprehensively specified DSLR on a budget.

The performance doesn’t quite justify the price, but this is still a rock-solid camera with great features

At first glance the Samsung GX20 simply looks like an incremental upgrade of the GX10, with relatively few additions on offer apart from the headline-grabbing 14 megapixel resolution. Whilst the increased image size is certainly worthy of attention,...

It's hard to get excited by the GX-20 for two reasons. First, the definitio is average despite those 14 million pixels. Second, the Pentax K20D is better and much the same price

Rugged body, impressive quality Raw images, lots of direct-access buttons and switches

JPEGs straight from camera have cyan skies and yellow-green cast, slow AF in Live View

I found that JPEGs and Raws needed some manipulation to bring out the best in them. This was especially true with JPEGs which came out with a colour cast.
