i do like it, the tuner has a great picture, same with the dvd. the instruction manual is a little to large for the average user to learn just to make a dvd and finish it properly. so far so good if anything goes wrong i'll be back to comment.

records and edits tv easily, epg is detailed, plays all dvds r4, looks great

the instruction manual...too much no volume conntrol for itself (will control a samsung tv's volume). its a LARGE dvd player channel changes are slow tedious using the up/down buttons. takes 4 - 5 seconds to boot whilst making a few clunking sounds it...

Extremely difficult to use. I followed the instruction manual exactly and still have had to call Samsung support twice. They even sent a repairman out and he was baffled. Also, the hard disk sometimes freezes while playing back and I have to...

smart looking and excellent picture quality.Loved the simultaneous playback/record feature

tends to 'freeze'on occassions whilst playing back from HDD.tried to download and install from manufacturers site,but problem still persists. I must emphasise that it only freezes for a couple of seconds at a time,but it can get annoying

Easy connections via HTMI cable.

Slow to start up with anynet button command from TV. Slow fast froward when playning from either the hard disk or a DVD. Other makes seem to be able tovary spedd by pressing button several times but cannot do that on this model. I have experienced...

Attractive appearance

Thought that coupled to a Samsung tv would be easy to use. Still havent worked out how to work it despite several calls to Samsung help line. (I have an engineering degree from Cambridge so I dont think its me being a thicko!)

Difficult to operate between the Samsung TV and DVD recorder, User instructions confusing and complicated. Unit is noisy when in operation.

overall a very good machine, play back on the dvd side very good and picture quality the best i have seen.

it took a long time to sort out the hard drive, recordings where very poor,pixalating and freezing.until i got a firmware update from the samsung website, and this seems to have cured this problem.
