I bought this item because I was shopping for a DVD player that would play digital video files explicitly. The manufacturer says this product can play MP4 as well as AVI video files, however I have found that the only video format that it can play is...

DVD tray would not open, and remote did not work. Contacted customer service at manufacturer's website and received no response after a week. Returned the item.

The tray wouldn't open. Called Naxa Customer Support. They said just return it to Walmart and I did. Disappointed. Ordered another one. Will try it again hopefully with better results.

You get what you pay for. It does its job playing DVDs for a cheap price. Complaints are the bright blue LED lit disk tray which is always lit during stand-by and play and can be distracting. Second complaint is the default setup is "PCM" audio output...
