Have only just started to use it so hard to tell what the good and bad points are.

Came with Windows 7 professional which is fine and what I wanted; typical Microsoft though, downloaded Windows 10 without my knowing - said they were updates! Wasted several hours with that. This is not a fault with HP nor the laptop hardware though....

Deleted the installed partitions and installed Ubuntu instead of Win 7/8. The installed Win 10 ina Virtual Machine.

Memory and hard drive a little limited.

very well built, ease of access to hard drive & ram slots. excellent on-board sound - the speakers really do sound much better than many laptops I've heard. Included windows 8.1 disc & drivers disc (see bad points) Came with a HP laptop bag in the box

Battery life isn't so great - but I guess the hardware will drain it quite fast. Fingerprint sensor (login etc) only seems to work on win 7. drivers for windows 8 are on the disc, but no software. Its a bit of a gimmick I think, but if you intend to...
