Other laptops offer the same mainstream graphics power for less, but the Asus ROG Strix GL753 dresses it up with a nice display and game-friendly extras.

The Asus ROG Strix GL753V is a reasonably priced entry point to Pascal graphics and performance. This gaming laptop includes plenty of storage and port options, but doesn't physically look or feel worth its price.

Reliable 1080p performance. Plenty of storage and connectivity. Nice display.

Tacky design, with cheap-feeling materials. Not ideal for VR.

While it's not exactly stylish, the ROG Strix GL753 does undercut much of the Pascal-bearing laptop competition. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as well, so if you don't mind the design, you're left with a reliable, fully featured 1080p gaming...

Asus ROG Strix GL753VD Review (17.3″ IPS screen, RGB keyboard)

 

Most PC enthusiasts will be familiar with the Asus ROG name. ROG stands for Republic of Gamers, Asus An Asus Republic Of Gamers laptop fitted with a Nvidia GTX 1050? Yes, we had to check twice.

Nice design.

GTX 1050 cannot run demanding games at close to native resolution.
