The Acer Aspire 7720 -- nicknamed 'Gemstone' -- is a beast, with a relatively high hardware spec, large widescreen display and weighing in at almost 4kg.

Terrific performance; large display; plenty of ports.

Ugly looks; poor battery life; heavy.
