Great A/C unit, bad hose.

 

If they gave us a real exhaust hose, and raised the drain plug up, this unit could be best-of-class (only one other standalone unit @ 14,000BTU and it got negatvie reviews) The unit draws a lot of power, when we put the UV/ionizer on it tripped our...

Powerful, cools alot of air. Also doesn't drip *nearly* as much water as similar, even less powerful units due to the evaporative technology. Only when it is very humid does it drip at all.

Short hose (5' I think) is bad, we lose cooling power by having to join 2 hoses together to get the hot air out. The drain plug is about 2 inches off the ground, which leaves no room for anything other than a flat drain pan which is way too small...we...
