Wasn't sure if it was doing anything but after a week I realized that my eyes weren't burning ALL the time like they usually were. It keeps the dust off of things too! I'm glad I purchased it! I looked at the pre-filter and it's definitely sucking in...

The sound is a little irritating if it's set on high while watching TV/movies on the computer but I just turn it down to medium and it's fine. It's not as loud as a box fan or air conditioner.

Large! I know it's meant to be placed on the floor, but it is an awkward shape and the handle on top means nothing can be placed on top of it either. However, due to the design, I'm assuming there is a larger fan or circulating device inside it,...

It does filter... it has a permanent filter... and it's quiet.

Does not filter as much volume as the other type of units, and it's packed with Styrofoam which the air goes thrugh AFTER the charcoal filter. I thought it was smaller than it is and that I could use it in my car.

Very quiet (at low speed). The unit ordered today will be the third one we've owned. The first one wore out after 10 years or so of nearly continous use (which is expected / reasonable). This will be for use in another room, but also not a large room....

My second order for the same unit. Unit is ULTRA quiet and very effective. Handle at the top allows the unit to be hung from the ceiling - handy for my small studio apartment.

You MUST clean the pre-filter often - not really a "con" as it is a measure of how effective the unit is at removing the junk from the air.

Used to clean dust and all that floating particles in my room. on the low fan setting it is very quiet, med is bearable and high is for when your not home. All in all not a bad purchase for my first air purifier. I've never had to clean the hepa-filter...

Pre-filter needs to be replaced every three months, depending on where you are if you can find it in a store it is cheaper than buying it online. This unit does not have a small footprint and isn't ascetically pleasing.

This is the best purifier I have ever used. Quiet, and good airflow. I noticed a huge difference the first night I used it. The filter is easy to clean with a vacuum. If you suffer from dust allergies I would certainly recommend you try this purifier....
