The Canon imageFormula P-215II Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner is designed to be portable, but it's capable enough to serve as a personal desktop scanner as well.

Portable. Automatic document feeder. Duplexes (for two-sided scanning). Fast.

Relatively big and heavy for a portable scanner. Application programs do not install by default.

Conclusion If you put a premium on even a little faster speed, be sure to consider the Kodak i940. Alternatively, if you want a lighter, more portable scanner than the Canon imageFormula P-215II Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner, but still need...

Feed mechanism is very poor

 

Would not recommend this scanner.

Scans quickly. Good image resolution. Business card software does a good job. Paperwork 14 is an easy to use product. Auto scans the back side when an image is present.

Often doesn't recognize paper is in the scanner. Often grabs multiple pages. Not good for volume scanning. Very disappointed as it does not meet my need for a portable scanner to scan multi page documents.

Portable, doesn't need a power cord. Can scan almost anything. The software is packed into the scanner itself. No driver installation. Full color. OCR. Can do both sides at once. Crops to small items and corrects angle automatically.

The cover plate can feel flimsy at times. Sometimes the software can feel slow loading.
