Nokia 3 review

A budget smartphone with an eye-catching design

Solid build quality and premium design ; Remarkably Low price ; Stock Android software works great

Disappointing performance may become frustrating ; Limited storage if you want to download lots ; Middling battery life may be an issue

It may look like one of the best cheap phones on the market but the Nokia 3 is style over substance, struggling with long load times and poor battery life.

Nokia 3 review

Nokia is back with a new budget Android smartphone, the Nokia 3, which is finally on sale in the UK. Find out what we thought in our Nokia 3 review.

We had high hopes for the Nokia 3, but the final phone is a bit of a disappointment. We can't deny that it looks absolutely fantastic for the price, and we're fans of Nokia's decision to stick to stock Android, but it's just cut too many corners on the...

Nokia 3

Nokia 3 review: The cheapest Android toting Nokia smartphone is well built and offers a clean Android experience with the Pixel launcher and Google Assistant. But does it offer enough to compete with the Moto G Play, Moto E and more?

Great software ; Budget price ; Battery life will get you through the day

Terrible performance ; Bad display ; Unreliable camera

Nokia has worked closely with Google in the production of this range of Android phones, and that shows in the software. The downside to many budget phones is that they often ship with heavy software layers that work the already limited internals too...

Nokia 3 review: Is this the budget Android phone to beat?

Nokia's first budget Android phone is a decent first effort, but a handful of niggles hold the Nokia 3 back

Great look ; Attractive price

Sluggish performance ; Mediocre battery life ; Disappointing camera

The trouble is at £130, there isn't much direct competition, aside from the 2016 Motorola Moto G4, which you can still buy for £140. But, as long as you don't mind buying a generation-old phone, the Moto is the better choice. It has a bigger,...

Nokia 3 review

Stand-out styling, but sub-power power

Looks more than it costs ; Near-standard Android UI ; Decent price

Not enough power ; Below-average battery ; No fingerprint sensor

A decent first effort for the ‘new’ Nokia, but good looks and an unmolested version of Android don't make up for a lacklustre performance

Nokia 3 review

The Nokia 3 is the lowest-end of Nokia's new line of Android phones. It's on sale in the UK for £120, but you will have to make sacrifices for that price. That converts to $156 or AU$200, although Nokia has no plans to bring the phone to the US.

The Android-based Nokia 3 is dirt-cheap, looks good and is comfortable to hold in one hand.

Its lack of power makes using the phone sluggish and frustrating.

The Nokia 3 sacrifices too much processing power to achieve its low price. You’re better off spending a bit more on the Motorola Moto G5.

Nokia 3 Review

The Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, it features a sleek, recognizable design, 4G LTE connectivity and is priced to sell…

Low price ; Very good build quality and likable design ; Clean Android interface ; Supports microSD memory expansion ; Decent photo quality

Video quality is trash ; Display looks bad: has a terrible blue tint ; Underpowered, stuttery performance ; Scant storage

Nokia 3 review

  (Vurdering Skjult)

Nokia has returned to the smartphone world with a few budget-friendly options. The Nokia 3 is its cheapest offering and has a pretty generous spec for its price, but can it power through the day without needing a recharge, and how easy is it to use?...

Nokia 3 review: A beauty that's only skin-deep

Gets the basics right, including the design, but the Nokia 3 falls short in most other respects

I really, really, really wanted to like the Nokia 3. I’ve always loved the way the company designs its smartphones, and the look and feel of this model is classic Nokia. I like the fact that it runs pure Android and that it has 16GB of storage. It’s...
